Am retiring and " Gone Fishing " - going back to being a simple collector if something worthwhile turns up. Collecting and researching into early lighting has been my hobby since the early 1970s, so establishing myself as Parkers Paraffinalia has meant that I can continue to enjoy these fascinating relics of a bygone age. Those of you who aren't too sure about web pages and how to move around a site will be pleased to find the familiar wick winders eager to turn the pages for you if you click your mouse button on them - Hinks ahead of their time once again ! I collect all kinds of old oil lamps, especially unusual Tilley and Wells Unbreakable lamps. I am keen to obtain complete, electrified, damaged or just bits and pieces of old paraffin lamps - also any early lighting artefacts, rushlights, candlesticks, nightlights and candles etc. I'm always happy to have contact with other enthusiasts and would be pleased to meet you personally if you are ever in my area.
